Frontier - File Setup
To have your images printed on the Frontier, make sure they conform to the following guidelines:
Colour Mode: RGB
Bit Depth: 8 bits
Resolution: 300 dpi (see note 1)
Maximum Size: 10" x 15"
Colour Space/Profile: sRGB / custom profile
File Format:
- TIFF (with or without LZW compression; Mac or PC byte order)
- JPEG (standard or baseline compression only; quality of 10 or higher recommended)
- BMP (Windows 24-bit only)
- Be sure to include the appropriate .tif, .jpg or .bmp file name extension.
In addition to these requirements, make sure your file has no layers and no alpha channels. QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, EPS and CMYK files cannot be directly printed on the Frontier. An additional fee will apply if we need to convert these file types.
The Frontier will accept files with embedded colour profiles but does honour them. As such, all files should be converted to the destination profile (convert to profile menu option in Photoshop).
Notes:
- The Frontier can upsample/downsample as required.
